Katrine van Wyk is an author, a certified holistic health coach, a wellness consultant and yoga teacher.
Katrine spent 15 years in New York after moving from Oslo in 2006 as a model. The years of being in front of the camera, traveling, and working long hours taught her a lot about caring for herself and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
After growing tired of the industry, she left to complete her studies at the New School in New York, earning a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree.
She then worked as a project manager and content producer at the design agency Ceft and Company planning photo shoots and commercials for Gatorade, Nike, and fashion brands. She managed new business outreach and client relations. She worked in PR in fashion and food and worked for fashion magazines as a writer.
Katrine then furthered her studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she was trained in nutrition and studied various practical lifestyle changes and coaching methods—and completed a yoga teacher certification through YogaWorks.
Katrine worked closely with and has trained with functional medicine pioneer Dr. Frank Lipman at his practice in Manhattan, The Eleven Eleven Wellness Center, both as a health coach, content creator, and with customer service and later at THE WELL New York - an integrated wellness center offering everything from a beautiful club and retail experience to functional medicine, TCM, Ayurveda, yoga, mediation, and a nourishing restaurant. As part of THE WELL’s initial pre-opening team, she helped create protocols, did training, and, once opened, was their Lead Health Coach and yoga teacher. Katrine helped guide their high–profile clients through lifestyle and dietary upgrades that also fit their demanding and busy lives.
Katrine has authored three books to help people add nourishment and wellness to their life with easy recipes, how-to’s, and fun facts about adaptogens, greens, superfoods, and more!
She lives in Oslo, Norway, with her husband, two children, and their dog, Luna.
